MULA-2025-Blog-Cover

MakeUp in Los Angeles 2025 was an exciting opportunity for ICONS|ICS to showcase our latest packaging innovations alongside ICONS|America and connect with industry leaders shaping the future of beauty. This year, we celebrated our theme “Bloom” where beauty’s transformation is driven by sustainability, inclusivity, and sensory innovation.

From thought-provoking discussions on sustainable packaging to hands-on interactions with our latest designs, our G46 booth was buzzing with energy. It was inspiring to see the industry embrace new materials, ergonomic shapes, and multi-functional designs that enhance both user experience and environmental responsibility.

Watch our video below to see the highlights from the show!

Designing for Transformation: Our Most Talked-About Innovations

With nearly 5,000 beauty professionals in attendance, MakeUp in Los Angeles 2025 highlighted the industry’s shift toward eco-conscious, sensorial, and accessible packaging. At ICONS|ICS, we’re proud to lead this transformation with solutions that blend sustainability with seamless functionality.

Some of the standout innovations that resonated most at our booth included

  • Innovative Applicator Tubes – Perfect for lip care and skinimalist beauty, offering both precision and convenience.
  • Mono-material PP Curvy Pansticks – A playful, tactile format designed to heighten sensory engagement.
  • Rounded Cap and Base Fine Mist Sprayers & Airless Upside-Down Mist Sprayers – Intuitive, ergonomic designs that enhance both usability and product preservation.
  • PET Jars with Curved Top-lid Design on Flip-top PP Cap – A single-handed, effortless solution for modern beauty routines.
  • In Mold Label (IML) Tubes by ICONS|America – Made-in-USA providing a lower carbon footprint, with unlimited decoration possibilities.
Leading the Conversation on Ocean Beauty

A key moment from our time at MakeUp in Los Angeles was Tara Stein, VP of Sales and Business Development, joining the panel discussion “From Sea to Skin: Ocean-Sourced Ingredients and Sustainable Packaging Solutions.” The Ocean Beauty talk at the show explored how the industry can leverage ocean-sourced materials and sustainable packaging to reduce environmental impact.

At ICONS|ICS, we’re proud to contribute to this movement with our Ocean Recovered Plastic Tubes, made from recycled HDPE sourced from discarded fishing nets, ropes, and trawls pulled from the maritime industry. Tara’s insights on the importance of responsible material sourcing and packaging innovation sparked a dynamic conversation about how brands can make more sustainable choices without compromising performance or aesthetics.

What’s Next?

The excitement at MakeUp in Los Angeles reaffirmed that beauty is evolving in ways that are more sustainable, sensorial, and inclusive than ever before. As we continue to innovate, we remain committed to helping brands grow and bloom through packaging solutions that are as forward-thinking as they are sustainable.

And we’re just getting started! Next, we’re bringing ICONS Beauty Group to MakeUp in Paris for the first time on June 18th & 19th – we can’t wait to share our innovations on a whole new stage. Stay tuned for what’s to come!
